A Citizen's Life

A solitaire, card-flipping, game about the life of a Ancient Athenian soldier during the period of Lamian War (323-322 BCE). The in-game events try to depict the military training of young citizen (ephebe) and then the narrative of Lamian War, a conflict that ultimately helped, after the death of Alexander the Great, to cement the Macedonian rule over the Greece.

The game is inspired by 'Legion of Honor' card game, published by Clash of Arms, and the video game 'A Legionary's Life'.

The goal of the game is to survive four in-game years (turns), while amassing as much Glory (for defeating enemies), Reputation (for serving one's city-state) and Wealth (gained through warfare or shameless activities).
